Titans’ QB Will Levis send 4-word message after lost to colts

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis didn’t mince words following the Titans’ Week 13 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, calling it his worst game as a pro. The Tennessee Titans were defeated 31-28 in overtime by the Indianapolis Colts at Nissan Stadium for the first time this season. Will Levis, the quarterback, made no apologies for his poor performance after the game.

“Yeah, I think personally, I feel like it’s the worst I’ve played as a Titan,” Levis told reporters following the loss, according to Jim Wyatt of TennesseeTitans.com. “You know, watching the film will make me sick with all the missed opportunities I had out there.” “So I think just personally for me that’s what makes it feel as bad as it does,” he said. “And still having a chance to win it despite my performance…It’s deflating and foul-smelling. But I have to do what I can to help this team.”

Colts harass Levis

Levis’ point of view is supported by statistics. His completion percentage of 48.5 percent on Sunday was the lowest of any game he’s played. In addition, he took a career-high six sacks and fumbled three times, one of which he lost versus the Colts. The Titans offense had opportunities to win the game. Levis pushed his team into Colts territory late in the fourth quarter. However, the drive was derailed by a sack and significant yardage loss on a Tyjae Spears pass, forcing the team to punt.

The Titans scored first in overtime on a 46-yard Nick Folk field goal. However, the Colts recovered the ball and made it count. A five-play, 75-yard drive highlighted by Gardner Minshew’s 55-yard connection to Alec Pierce culminated with Michael Pittman Jr. hauling in a four-yard touchdown pass to seal the game for Indy.

Levis and the offense both had opportunities. But give respect to the young quarterback for not being afraid to accept responsibility after a painful loss.
