Just In: ‘Huge boost’ Lions confirm double injury boost as key players are set to return ahead of Bears clash

The Detroit Lions have not been able to fully utilize their offensive line.

Unfortunately, against the New Orleans Saints, center Frank Ragnow had a knee injury and was unable to continue the game. The excellent offensive lineman was carried to the locker room after walking off the field with the assistance of medical personnel.
After the game, Lions head coach Dan Campbell expressed optimism that Ragnow’s injury was not as serious as first thought.

Campbell addressed the media on Monday, providing an update on the health of one of the NFL’s top centers.

“We got good news, but that doesn’t mean he’s playing this week,” Campbell said when asked for an update on Ragnow’s health.

Linebacker Alex Anzalone, who missed his first game of the season with a hand injury on Sunday, could return against the Chicago Bears this week.

Alim McNeill is a “little banged up,” and he may not play versus Chicago on the road.

Great week of practice

It sounds like the Detroit Lions had an incredibly productive and encouraging week of practice ahead of their challenging game against the Saints. Head Coach Dan Campbell expressed his confidence in the team, highlighting the resilience of the players and coaches.

Campbell’s positive remarks about the practices being some of the best all year indicate that the team was focused, competitive, and intense during their preparation. He acknowledged the variability in practice intensity, recognizing that sometimes there’s a need for a more relaxed walkthrough approach. However, he was pleased to see the team’s readiness and commitment leading up to the game against the Saints.

This level of preparation and determination bodes well for the team’s mindset and readiness to face tough competition. It shows the dedication of both the players and coaching staff as they strive to perform at their best, even in the face of challenges.
