Breaking News: Just In Los Angeles Rams confirmed the release of another star

The Los Angeles Rams made a noteworthy roster move by parting ways with Miller Forristall, the former tight end from the University of Alabama. This decision leaves the Rams as the sole NFL team without a player hailing from an Alabama high school or college. Forristall had been a member of the Rams’ practice squad since September 12 but had yet to see any game action this season. This marks the seventh instance of Forristall being released in his NFL career.

The Rams acquired Forristall after placing tight end Hunter Long on injured reserve. Subsequently, Long recovered from his hamstring injury and participated in offensive snaps during the team’s last two games. Forristall’s stint with the Rams began after he was waived by the Cleveland Browns on August 26, as part of the team’s preseason roster reduction to the regular-season limit of 53 players.

Having spent five seasons with the Crimson Tide, Forristall wrapped up his collegiate career with impressive stats, recording 38 receptions for 420 yards and five touchdowns in his final two seasons. His NFL journey commenced in May 2021 when he signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted rookie. Throughout that season, Forristall had stints on the practice squads of both the Titans and the Browns.

During his rookie year, Forristall played in two games, and in the 2022 season with the Browns, he appeared in four games. In these outings, he contributed to 27 offensive snaps and 61 special-teams plays. Following his time with Cleveland, Forristall signed with the New Orleans Saints on January 26. However, his journey with the Saints hit a roadblock during training camp when he was placed on the physically-unable-to-perform list on July 20 due to an undisclosed injury. Although he passed his physical on July 24, making him eligible for training camp, Forristall was waived by the Saints on July 25.
