Breaking News: Just In Houston Texans confirm the signing of another another top super star

The Houston Texans have made a strategic move ahead of their Week 14 matchup against the New York Jets by signing veteran safety Adrian Amos. This acquisition comes shortly after Amos was released by the Jets, providing the Texans with a valuable asset and insider knowledge about their upcoming opponent.

The 30-year-old safety, a seasoned veteran with nine years of experience in the league, brings a wealth of expertise to the Texans’ defense. Amos spent the majority of the current season with the Jets, appearing in 11 games, making three starts, and contributing 23 tackles. His final appearance for the Jets was in a home loss to the Miami Dolphins, where he played a limited role with seven defensive snaps at free safety. The Jets officially released him on December 2.

What adds an intriguing layer to this signing is the timing of the Texans’ next game – a head-to-head matchup against the New York Jets on December 10. Amos, having recently been part of the Jets’ roster, now has the opportunity to share valuable insights and insider knowledge with his new team as they prepare to face his former squad at MetLife Stadium.

Amos, who spent four consecutive seasons with the Green Bay Packers before joining the Jets in mid-June, initially came to New York following an ACL tear suffered by presumed starter Chuck Clark. However, the emergence of second-year pro Tony Adams and the contributions of Ashtyn Davis led to Amos becoming expendable.

The Texans made room for Amos on their roster by waiving defensive end Kerry Hyder Jr. and placing rookie receiver Tank Dell on Injured Reserve. Amos now joins the safety corps of Houston, alongside starters Jimmie Ward and Jalen Pitre, as well as Deandre Houston-Carson.

With 137 regular-season games under his belt, including 125 starts, Amos brings a wealth of experience to the Texans’ defense. His track record includes 10 interceptions and 28 tackles-for-loss, making him a valuable addition to the team.

As the 7-5 Texans prepare to face the 4-8 Jets, Amos’ insider knowledge and on-field contributions could play a crucial role in shaping the outcome of this upcoming clash in East Rutherford, scheduled for 1:00 pm ET on Sunday.
