Newcastle United star shockingly reacts to what Arsenal player did during controversial clash

The game between Newcastle United and Arsenal at St James’ Park last month was fraught with controversy. Callum Wilson has spoken out about his confrontation with Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes during Newcastle’s 2-1 victory against the Gunners last month. Wilson, who is now injured, has said that when he comes up against the defender, he goes to ‘war’ and that he was ‘mad’ with the defender before he even entered the pitch at St James’ Park.

Wilson remarked on the Footballers Football Podcast, “He’s a good player, and off the field he’s probably a nice guy, similar to how I am, and we’d probably get along, but on the field it’s just like war.” I want to fight him, and he wants to fight me.”We recently played Arsenal, and he was kicking me while I was prodding, elbowing, and standing on his foot. I fell over and grabbed him for no purpose other than to drag him down with me. ‘What are you doing?’ he said. I told her to “shut up.” “It started with the last game, before this season.” We had that little bit on the pitch, then you shake hands and move on. Then in the tunnel before the game this season, it’s amusing because he was smiling at the Brazilians, saying hello, and I’m standing there upset already and looking at him and he sees me and you don’t want to smile back and he looked and thought ‘oh not you again’.

“I asked Ramsdale about him and what he’s like, and he said he’s a nice guy, so I’d probably get along with him, but on the pitch, I’m an idiot, and he’s probably the idiot who gets under my skin as well, so we just clash.” However, if we were on the same side, you’d want someone like that, and vice versa.”

Newcastle United won that day thanks to a single Anthony Gordon goal, which sparked much debate after the game. Despite the protests of the Arsenal players and Mikel Arteta, VAR cleared the goal after examining it for three separate infringements.
