Good News: Just In Miami Dolphins confirm the signing of another top super star

The Miami Dolphins made adjustments to their practice squad on Wednesday, with the signing of veteran defensive tackle Justin Ellis marking a notable move. In tandem with this addition, the Dolphins also parted ways with safety Verone McKinley III.

Ellis, a seasoned player with a decade of NFL experience, was initially selected in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders. During his tenure with the Raiders, he showcased his skills, achieving a career-high of 42 tackles in the 2017 season. After his time with the Raiders, Ellis joined the Baltimore Ravens in 2019, where he spent approximately three years contributing to the team. In 2022, he briefly joined the New York Giants on a one-year deal, securing his first career sack during the season against Washington’s Taylor Heinicke in Week 13. Subsequently, the Atlanta Falcons acquired Ellis on July 28, 2023, but his stint with the team was short-lived as he was released on Aug. 26. Following a period as a free agent, Ellis has now found a place with the Miami Dolphins.

Conversely, the Dolphins bid farewell to safety Verone McKinley III, who had a 10-game stint with the team during the 2022 season. McKinley, an undrafted college free agent out of Oregon, signed with the Dolphins on May 13, 2022. Throughout his time with the team, McKinley made significant contributions, starting in two games and notching one interception along with 16 tackles.

The Dolphins’ roster adjustments demonstrate their strategic approach to bolstering specific positions, with the addition of Justin Ellis bringing veteran expertise to the defensive tackle position. As the team refines its roster, these moves aim to optimize player strengths and enhance overall squad performance.
