Auburn Tiger Now In Talk To Finalize Deal To Sign Top offensive linemen

The Auburn Tigers are actively seeking enhancements for their offensive line, evident in their pursuit of offensive linemen currently available in the transfer portal. One noteworthy prospect drawing interest is former Texas A&M Aggie and Freshman All-American Chase Bisontis, who has reportedly been contacted by 26 different schools since entering the transfer portal. Hayes Fawcett of On3 shared a graphic on social media, listing the schools in pursuit of Bisontis. Among them are prominent programs such as LSU, Notre Dame, Clemson, Ohio State, and Oregon, emphasizing the widespread attention the player is receiving.

The influx of Texas A&M players into the transfer portal follows the firing of Jimbo Fisher and the subsequent appointment of former Duke head coach Mike Elko. Bisontis is part of this group seeking new opportunities, and Auburn’s interest underscores their commitment to fortifying the offensive line for the second consecutive year. The Tigers, led by Hugh Freeze and his coaching staff, have been proactive in hosting visits from potential recruits.

Notable among these are Indiana’s Matthew Bedford, while further visits from Southern Miss’ Gerquan Scott and Memphis offensive tackle Mak Pounders are anticipated.

Auburn faces the impending departure of Gunner Britton, a key contributor from the previous season, due to graduation and eligibility constraints. Britton is poised to enter the 2024 NFL Draft, further highlighting the urgency for Auburn to bolster its offensive line. This strategic focus on recruiting and transfer pursuits demonstrates the team’s commitment to maintaining a competitive and formidable presence in the upcoming seasons. As Auburn navigates these transitions, the recruitment of skilled offensive linemen remains a central element in their pursuit of success on the football field.
