“They were focused, they supported one another, they supported me.”
The Buffalo Bills had an intriguing week after a story attacking head coach Sean McDermott was published, which featured the discovery that in 2019, he once cited the Sept. 11 terrorist tragedy as a wonderful example of collaboration. This happened during a bad stretch for the Bills, who had lost three of their previous four games. But none of that stopped the club from defeating the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, and McDermott was pleased.
During his postgame news conference, Sean McDermott stated that he “couldn’t be more proud” of his team’s performance, saying that they “didn’t flinch” when confronted with difficult conditions.
“Our guys, the staff, and the players, were laser-focused.” “At this point in the regular season, I couldn’t be more proud of a group, I really couldn’t,” McDermott said, according to the Buffalo Bills team website. “They didn’t seem to flinch. They were focused, they helped one another, and they helped me, and I don’t take it for granted.”
The Bills desperately needed a win to stay in the AFC playoff race, and they got it on Sunday afternoon.
