“I believe it’s not just about the pressure to represent the franchise, but rather the pressure to uphold values of being a decent individual. I strive to conduct myself in a manner that serves as a positive role model because I admired those who held such a position when I was young, even as I stepped into the professional realm.

I aim to be a good person, and admittedly, I am invested in this endeavor. My emotions may have been visible on the football field, sometimes in positive ways and sometimes not. Ultimately, my primary goal is to be the best version of myself, beyond the label of the franchise face or NFL-related responsibilities. What matters most to me is consistently showcasing the kind of person I am every single day, setting a positive example. That’s the legacy I wish to leave when my career reaches its conclusion,” concluded Mahomes.

The Chiefs’ controversial loss to the Bills

In Week 14, the Chiefs were on the verge of defeating the Bills. Mahomes hit tight end Travis Kelce with a deep ball, who then hit Kadarius Toney with a lateral.

Toney scampered into the end zone unharmed as the Bills’ defense swarmed on Kelce. Unfortunately for the Chiefs, television replays revealed that Toney was offside at the line of scrimmage.

Patrick Mahomes went insane on the sidelines following the game. “Wildest f-cking call I’ve ever witnessed…”F-cking terrible,” he informed Josh Allen as well.

Mahomes clearly acted in the heat of the moment. Unfortunately, he can no longer take it back.
