Main reason why Tyreek Hill and four others didn’t practice on Thursday revealed

On Thursday, Tyreek Hill and four other players did not practice.
On Sunday, the Miami Dolphins might be without a few important players.

Eight Miami Dolphins players missed practice on Wednesday; by Thursday, that number had decreased to five. The team’s injury report states that Tyreek Hill (ankle), Robert Hunt (hamstring), Liam Eichenberg (calf), De’Von Achane (toe), and DeShon Elliot (concussion/ribs) were all held out.

Following their absence from Wednesday’s practice, Xavien Howard (hip), Terron Armstead (knee/ankle), and Raheem Mostert (knee) returned to the field. The Dolphins did not practice on Thursday because they had 11 players on the injured list. Instead, they held walkthroughs.

As Miami prepares for the New York Jets in the season’s second game, Jevon Holland (knees), Austin Jackson (oblique), and Andrew Van Ginkel (oblique) were all limited for the second day in a row.

Carter Warren (hip) and Jason Brownlee (ankle) of New York did not practice on Wednesday. Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback (Achilles), was one among the six players limited on Thursday. Breece Hall, a running back, and John Franklin-Myers, an edge rusher, both had ankle limitations.

Given Miami’s injury list and the short week, Friday’s injury report ought to help us determine more clearly who will be available on Sunday.
