Former NFL standout Richard Sherman hasn’t been kind to the Seattle Seahawks in recent years.
Since joining the NFL media, the former Super Bowl winner has occasionally criticized Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks management, and the fact that he signed with the San Francisco 49ers irritated some fans.
Notably absent is former teammate Marshawn Lynch.
In fact, Lynch called him out during Thursday Night Football when Sherman selected Brock Purdy as MVP (via NFL on Prime Video).
Even after being informed that he had also been part of the Niners and that the Seahawks had released him, Lynch simply inquired about where the person acquired their Super Bowl.
Sherman was a standout defensive player during his time in Seattle, playing a pivotal role in the renowned ‘Legion Of Boom.’
He came close to securing a second Super Bowl victory, but Head Coach Pete Carroll infamously opted for a passing play from the one-yard line despite having the most dominant running back in the game at that time.
There might have been various undisclosed incidents, and Sherman has every right to hold certain sentiments toward his former team following that event.
Nevertheless, it remains somewhat peculiar to witness a player criticize the organization where he earned most of his income and garnered the majority of his honors.
