Breaking News: Los Angeles Rams confirm another Man leaving

Brandon Staley depart La Rams and Receives Praise From Rival LA Coach After Firing

Your Los Angeles Chargers’ removal of Brandon Staley was long time, as they’ll wrap up a dismal regular season with a projected top-5 draft pick and new head coach, in interim replacement Griff Smith. And while the chatter around Staley has been iffy since the conclusion of his rookie season, the Bolts stuck onto him for nearly another two, wasting away at key years for Justin Herbert and the tail end of Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler’s careers. Sean McVay, the head coach of the Los Angeles Rams, had a different viewpoint than that of most fans and watchers whilst remarking on Staley’s firing: McVay on Staley firing: “You want to be there for your friend, and I also know what a great coach he is and what he’s meant to me, what I’ve learned from him…. I know what I’ve seen from own eyes and I know that he’s going to respond and he’s got a really bright future.”

Chargers fire head coach Brandon Staley after historic 63-21 loss to Raiders

McVay and Staley are close, as Staley was poached by the Chargers after one season as McVay’s defensive coordinator (2020). That year, the Rams boasted the league’s top defense, which led Staley’s case as a top-tier coaching contender. The former Super Bowl-winning coach’s praise for Staley is likely come completely from the 2020 defense’s performance, but it’s worth remembering that LAR had Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey, the finest defensive tackle and defensive back in the NFL at the time, respectively. That again, given this praise, it’s possible Staley’s image across the league is better than it seems. It’s unlikely he’ll ever earn a head coaching job again, but he more than likely will join a defensive staff and might rise back up in the ranks to become a defensive coordinator again. Many outstanding coordinators struggle as head coaches, as the position is significantly more demanding. Staley may fit into this category, and if he does, he’ll join the Josh McDaniels’, Dan Quinn’s of the world, recovering his reputation, but as a defensive coordinator.
