Good News: Just In Winnipeg Blue Bombers ink another top super star to two-year extension

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have secured the services of defensive back Redha Kramdi for an additional two years, as the team announced the signing of a contract extension on Tuesday. Kramdi, who was set to become a free agent in February, will continue to contribute to the Blue Bombers’ defense through the 2024 Canadian Football League (CFL) season.

Standing at five-foot-10 and weighing 194 pounds, Kramdi is entering his fourth CFL season, with all previous seasons spent with the Blue Bombers. Selected in the second round, 16th overall, in the 2021 CFL Draft, Kramdi initially contributed as a special-teams player in his rookie season. However, he has since evolved into the starting ‘dime’ back for the team.

In the 2023 season, Kramdi played a significant role, appearing in 14 regular-season games, including 11 starts. His impact extended into the playoffs, where he started both the Western Final and the 110th Grey Cup. Throughout the season, he accumulated 22 defensive tackles, along with six more on special teams, and contributed two quarterback sacks.

With this contract extension, Kramdi will continue to be a key part of the Blue Bombers’ defense, building on his growth and contributions since being drafted in 2021. Over his career with the Blue Bombers, he has dressed for 38 games, including 12 starts, showcasing his value and reliability on the field. The extension ensures that Kramdi remains a crucial component of the Blue Bombers’ defensive unit for the foreseeable future.
