Malik Blocton, a 4-star defensive lineman from Pike Road High School, is the most recent player to commit with Auburn’s 2024 recruiting class.
Blocton, who has been committed to Hugh Freeze and the Tigers since July 8, inked his name on the dotted line of his national letter of intent on Wednesday, becoming the first high school recruit to deliver his papers to Auburn during the early signing period. Blocton led the Patriots’ defense as a senior with 118 total tackles, 30 tackles for a loss, 14 sacks, 21 quarterback hurries, an interception, and two fumble recoveries.

Blocton, who stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 275 pounds, is the 50th best defensive line prospect in the 2024 recruiting cycle and the 25th-ranked prospect in Alabama, regardless of position, according to 247Sports.
Auburn secured Blocton’s commitment over the summer after being one of the first teams to offer him in 2021. Blocton also had offers from Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Kentucky, Louisville, Ole Miss, Oregon, and Texas throughout his recruitment.
With the addition of Blocton, the Tigers’ defensive line room is set to include Blocton, Keldric Faulk, Quientrail Jamison-Travis, Jayson Jones, 4-star TJ Lindsey, 3-star Dimitry Nicolas, Darrrick Reed Jr., Justin Rogers, and Zykeivous Walker, barring any changes to Auburn’s current or prospective roster.
