Breaking News: Another Auburn Tigers Star confirmed He Is Leaving After Hugh Freeze Latest Signing

The Arizona Cardinals have made some changes to their practice squad, including the addition of former Auburn tight end John Samuel Shenker. Shenker, who initially signed with the Las Vegas Raiders as an undrafted rookie in May, has had a journey through various stints with the Raiders’ active roster and practice squad.

After being waived by the Raiders at the end of the preseason, Shenker was initially brought back to their practice squad. However, his time with the Raiders had its ups and downs, with multiple releases and re-signings. Now, Shenker finds a new opportunity with the Arizona Cardinals.

In his five seasons at Auburn, Shenker played in 62 games, setting a school record. He also became the Tigers’ career leader for receptions by a tight end with 68 catches for 779 yards and three touchdowns.

This move coincides with the Cardinals placing tight end Geoff Swaim on injured reserve and signing tight end Travis Vokolek off the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad. The addition of Shenker to the practice squad provides the Cardinals with depth at the tight end position and adds another player with collegiate experience to their roster.

It’s worth noting that Shenker joins former Auburn teammate Owen Pappoe in Arizona. Pappoe, an inside linebacker, has primarily contributed on special teams during his rookie season with the Cardinals.
