Breaking News:Just In Michigan Wolverines confirmed the departure of another top super star

Michigan Wolverines running back Leon Franklin has entered the transfer portal with two years of eligibility remaining. Franklin, who has primarily contributed on special teams over the past three seasons, is seeking a new home with the potential for more playing time in the 2024 season and beyond.

During his time at Michigan, Franklin ran for a total of 75 yards on 23 carries and scored two touchdowns, one on a 20-yard touchdown pass in the 2022 win over UCONN and another on the ground against Minnesota in a 52-10 victory. While his on-field contributions may not have been extensive, Franklin was recognized as a team player and a veteran presence on a successful Wolverines squad that won three Big Ten Championships.

Franklin’s decision to enter the transfer portal follows another Michigan running back, CJ Stokes, who also opted to explore transfer options due to reduced playing time. The Wolverines’ running back room remains competitive, with strong recruiting efforts bringing in notable talents like Cole Cabana and Jordan Marshall.

Having earned his degree and with the opportunity to compete for a national title in the current season, Franklin looks forward to finding a new program where he can potentially secure a more significant role in the upcoming seasons.
