Matthew Stafford sends strong clear message about Rams playoff hopes to fans

“We find ourselves in the current position because we have worked hard for it,” declared star quarterback Matthew Stafford following the Los Angeles Rams’ impressive comeback in the latter part of the season. Initially facing a daunting 3-6 record midway through, the Rams seemed destined to miss the playoffs. However, a remarkable streak of five wins in their last six games has propelled them to an 8-7 record, reigniting their postseason aspirations.

Speaking at a postgame press conference after a decisive victory over the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night, Stafford reflected on the team’s remarkable turnaround, emphasizing the positive trajectory since the bye week in Week 10. “We’ve had stakes since we came back from the bye,” Stafford asserted, attributing the team’s success to their collective effort and dedication.

In Stafford’s view, the Rams have earned their current standing through relentless hard work and a commitment to excellence in practice. He highlighted the team’s resilience and unity, emphasizing how they push each other in practice to ensure they are thoroughly prepared for game days. “We push each other so that we feel ultra-prepared when we come out here on gameday and let it rip,” Stafford explained.

While acknowledging that the team still has two crucial games ahead in their quest to secure a playoff spot, Stafford expressed pride in his teammates for their focused approach, teamwork, and the tangible results that have manifested on the field. The Rams’ journey this season has been nothing short of a remarkable transformation, turning a seemingly bleak mid-season situation into a genuine playoff contention. As they continue to strive for a postseason berth, the Rams can look back on their hard-earned successes and draw confidence from the resilience and dedication that brought them to this pivotal juncture in the season.”
