Michigan Wolverines confirmed another Highly talented star said He want to Leave

In a recent development for the Michigan football team, walk-on running back Leon Franklin has announced his decision to enter the transfer portal. Despite this move, Franklin has expressed his intention to remain with Michigan during the College Football Playoff.

Unlike some other schools, Michigan has seen relatively few entries into the transfer portal, with running back CJ Stokes and walk-on Sam Staruch being the only other names in the Wolverines’ portal so far.

Leon Franklin, who has been with the Wolverines since 2021, has played in 29 games during his time at Michigan. In the 2021 season, he recorded eight carries for 33 yards. His involvement increased in 2022, where he carried the ball four times for nine yards and also scored a receiving touchdown. In the 2023 season, Franklin had 11 carries for 33 yards and added a rushing touchdown to his credit.

Despite his decision to enter the transfer portal, Franklin has chosen to stay with Michigan for the duration of the College Football Playoff. The Wolverines boast depth at the running back position, and with two additional running backs expected to join the team in the 2024 recruiting cycle, it appears that Franklin may be seeking a new opportunity where he can secure more playing time.

Having two years of eligibility remaining, Franklin’s move to the transfer portal provides him with the chance to explore options that align better with his playing aspirations. The dynamics of the transfer portal in college football often afford players the flexibility to find situations that better suit their individual goals and playing preferences.
