The Baltimore Ravens are projected to target Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Jonah Williams in the upcoming 2024 free agency, according to Bleacher Report. The Ravens, currently contending for a Super Bowl in the current season, are eyeing opportunities to add youth to their aging offensive line during the offseason.
Williams, a pending free agent, could bring much-needed youth to the Ravens’ offensive line strategy, particularly in the rotation of tackles. The suggestion involves Williams potentially playing at left tackle, opposite Ronnie Stanley, the current right tackle for the Ravens. This strategic move aims to address the aging factors in the offensive line, with Stanley at 29 years old and fellow tackle Morgan Moses at 32.
The report highlights the potential synergy in signing Williams, as it would mirror a “circle-of-life” scenario. Orlando Brown Jr., previously with the Ravens, desired a switch from right tackle to left tackle, leading to his trade to the Kansas City Chiefs. This move, in turn, prompted the Bengals to sign Williams and push him to the right side. Now, the suggestion is for the Ravens to sign Williams for the right tackle position with the foresight that he could transition to the left side when Stanley concludes his playing career.
