Breaking News: Just In Rams sign another top star to practice squad ahead of Giants trip

The Los Angeles Rams have been looking for a solution to their kicking difficulties in recent weeks, with current kicker Lucas Havrisik struggling with regularity. Havrisik, who was signed midseason to replace the underperforming Brett Maher, has hit 15 of 20 field goals but is only two of six from 40-49 yards, including three straight misses, and two of three from 50 yards or more. However, Rams head coach Sean McVay remains confident in his kicker and has focused on the process as a whole rather than blaming Havrisik alone.

“When you look at the whole operation, it’s snap, hold and kick and when you haven’t had Alex Ward, that makes a big difference – he’s done a really good job,” McVay said. “So, all those things go hand in hand. I know the kicker is the one everybody wants to pin it on.

With that in mind, the Rams made a modification to their operation, signing long snapper Alex Matheson to the practice squad to provide some competition at the position.

The Rams created place on the roster for Matheson by dismissing practice squad running back Darrell Henderson.
