Breaking News: Just In Oklahoma Sooners confirm to release another top star

Oklahoma football has experienced another departure as wide receiver LV Bunkley-Shelton has entered the transfer portal. Bunkley-Shelton, who had a limited role during the current season with just three catches for 33 yards and no touchdowns, has opted to explore other opportunities.

Before his time with the Oklahoma Sooners, Bunkley-Shelton played for Arizona State, where he had more notable contributions. In his second year with the Sun Devils, he recorded 33 receptions for 418 yards and two touchdowns. Despite not having a breakout season with the Sooners, Bunkley-Shelton demonstrated his potential as a solid receiving option during his tenure at Arizona State.

This marks the second trip to the transfer portal for LV Bunkley-Shelton, indicating his willingness to explore different opportunities in his college football career. With two years of eligibility remaining, he will have the chance to contribute to another program.

Oklahoma football has been active in the transfer portal this offseason, witnessing both incoming and outgoing players. The team is undergoing changes as it prepares for the transition to the SEC next season, and roster adjustments are crucial to facing the challenges of a tougher schedule.

While Bunkley-Shelton’s departure may not significantly impact the Sooners’ immediate plans, it adds to the ongoing changes within the program. The team is set to conclude its 2023 season with an appearance in the Alamo Bowl against #14 Arizona, providing an opportunity to end the campaign on a positive note.
