It seems like Auburn is actively working to strengthen its receiving corps for the 2024 season through the transfer portal. Gage Larvadain, a junior transfer wide receiver from Miami (OH), is reportedly in the Tigers’ sights. With his impressive stats from his time at Miami (OH), where he caught 42 passes for 679 yards and six touchdowns in ten games, he could be a valuable addition to Auburn’s offensive arsenal.
In addition to Larvadain, Auburn has already secured commitments from other transfer portal receivers, including Robert Lewis from Georgia State and quarterback-turned-wide-receiver Sam Jackson V from California. These additions, along with the talented incoming recruits, such as five-stars Cam Coleman and Perry Thompson, and four-stars Malcolm Simmons and Bryce Cain, indicate a strong focus on improving the receiver play for the upcoming season.
The Tigers appear to be building a stacked and competitive receiver room under the leadership of head coach Hugh Freeze. It will be interesting to see how these transfers and recruits contribute to Auburn’s offensive strategy in 2024.
