For the previous two seasons, the Philadelphia Eagles have been among the top NFL teams.
They are once again vying for the top seed in the NFC, in large part due to their dominance on all sides of the football field.
The Eagles are one of the league’s greatest teams, yet controversy still surrounds them.
The Eagles are viewed as having an unfair advantage by many pundits and teams throughout the league, and they are making every effort to prevent it.
The “tush-push,” a quarterback sneak that the Eagles frequently employ to score scores or obtain first downs, is the edge in question.
On a recent appearance on “Good Morning Football,” offensive lineman Lane Johnson talked about the topic.
Johnson claims, “It’s not like it came out of nowhere; it’s just that we’re decent at it that it’s suddenly being talked about.”
Johnson and his colleagues have voiced their displeasure at the play’s possible ban.
Although they believe they are not breaking any laws, they fear that if their strategy proves to be effective, they may face consequences.
Jalen Hurts’s strength overall, especially in his lower body, has been a major factor in the Eagles’ success at this play.
This play probably wouldn’t be as successful and the problem wouldn’t be as serious without him.
There will be a lot of moving elements in this decision, which may be made in the offseason of 2024.
Can the Eagles present a compelling enough argument to sustain this play for the foreseeable future?
