The 230-pound, 6-foot-3 linebacker will still be eligible for two more seasons. Despite having 53 tackles in 2023—four of which were for loss—one sack, and two forced fumbles—he has made the decision to pursue other opportunities. The fact that Texas A&M hired linebackers coach Jay Bateman as their defensive coordinator is probably the reason for his leaving. As a result, the Aggies will be an interesting squad to watch.An arduous off-season for FloridaThe 20th player to depart through the transfer portal is Williams. Many of them were star members of the team from the previous year. The Gators must hope that either their young players stand up or they can acquire some players of their own through the portal. With Texas and Oklahoma joining the SEC, things won’t be simple there. Top-tier programs like Alabama, Georgia, LSU, and many others are still there to be found.
