Breaking News: Just In LSU Tigers Confirm To Lose Another Top Super Star To The Transfer Portal

LSU Tigers Lose Talented Running Back To The Transfer Portal
The LSU Tigers are expecting to be back on top of the SEC in 2024. While there were wonderful moments in 2023, the team couldn’t overthrow the elite. After the bowl games this weekend, another wave of players has hit the transfer site. Starting running back Logan Diggs revealed he is take his skills elsewhere in 2024.

LSU Tigers Lose RB Logan Diggs To The Transfer Portal

Diggs was a transfer from Notre Dame last season. He carried for 653 yards and seven touchdowns in his lone season with the Tigers. The lack of production was likely due to an extremely packed backfield. There were many mouths to feed and quarterback Jayden Daniels took a lot of opportunities away from running backs. Diggs likely is hoping to find a program where he can be more of the featured back.

2024 Outlook
The Tigers begin up the season in Las Vegas against the USC Trojans. Ole Miss and Alabama are likely to be the toughest games in the SEC but the conference is so rich that any game can be competitive. Florida, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas A&M are no pushovers. Head coach Brian Kelly will need to first figure out the quarterback issue if the Tigers can have any form of success. The good news is that LSU continues to be able to recruit successfully and should land some players of their own through the portal.
This loss stings for the LSU Tigers but they have strong backfield depth so the impact will be limited. It will be intriguing to see how Kelly tinkers with the team to get it back to compete for national championships.
