Bills QB Josh All Gets Brutally Honest About ‘Ugly’ Win Over Dolphins.

In a crucial Week 18 clash at Hard Rock Stadium, the Buffalo Bills secured a 21-14 victory over the Miami Dolphins, clinching the AFC East title and securing the No. 2 seed for the upcoming playoffs. Despite facing challenges, including two red zone interceptions by quarterback Josh Allen, the Bills displayed resilience and determination throughout the game.

The pivotal moments included Allen’s completion to running back Ty Johnson, who was stopped at the 1-yard line with just 11 seconds left in the second quarter, and a strip-sack with 12 seconds left in the third quarter, leading to a fumble. Despite these setbacks, the Bills rallied, highlighted by Deonte Harty’s remarkable 96-yard punt return for a touchdown, sparking a turnaround.

Buffalo’s defense stepped up by forcing a three-and-out after Harty’s touchdown. In the fourth quarter, Allen orchestrated an impressive eight-play, 74-yard drive, culminating in a 5-yard touchdown pass to tight end Dawson Knox. The game’s outcome was sealed with Bills safety Taylor Rapp intercepting Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa with just 1:13 left in regulation.

During the post-game interview, Josh Allen acknowledged the challenges, describing the win as potentially “ugly” but emphasized the significance of securing their fourth AFC East title. Allen candidly shared his perspective on the game, admitting to personal shortcomings while praising his teammates for their resilience.

Reflecting on the team’s vibe at halftime, Allen acknowledged the frustration of beating themselves, but he lauded his teammates for their extraordinary plays, including Harty’s pivotal punt return and Rapp’s decisive interception.

Addressing specific plays, Allen admitted taking away potential points by not getting the ball in the end zone during certain situations. However, he emphasized the importance of finding ways to win, showcasing the team’s collective determination.

In a testament to the team’s unity and resilience, Josh Allen expressed that this Bills group is the “best” he has ever been a part of, highlighting their togetherness and overall strength. This sentiment was echoed by wide receiver Trent Sherfield, who described it as an honor to play with Allen, emphasizing the quarterback’s confidence and leadership qualities.
