Brandon Turnage, a former defensive back for the Tennessee Volunteers, has committed to play for the Ole Miss Rebels.
The NCAA Transfer Portal has seen a lot of discussion about the Tennessee Volunteers. The coaching staff is still working to keep the roster competitive for the upcoming season, even if they have lost a few players and added some important players. On Friday afternoon, though, they received information regarding a former player.
Brandon Turnage, a defensive back, pledged to play for the Ole Miss Rebels. Earlier in the cycle, two of his former colleagues chose to join Ole Miss; however, they later switched to Louisville. Turnage, though, is from Oxford, Mississippi, so the temptation of competing in the SEC and staying local ultimately prevailed.
The Tennessee football team is currently in its offseason. After finishing the season, the Vols are concentrating on building their roster for 2023. With all of the most recent NFL Draft announcements and portal entries, Volunteer Country has the fans covered. The portal window is open from January 2 to December 4. Players will have to wait until May after spring practice to access the transfer portal if they do not transfer within that time.
