At first appearance, the New York Yankees will appear unaltered on the road, wearing their regular gray jerseys with black text on the front.
However, when the magnifying glass is brought closer to the jersey in question, the image changes.
New York’s 2024 road jerseys will have the same gray base but no white piping around “NEW YORK,” according to UniWatch.
New York’s home jersey and trousers continue to feature black and white pinstripes.
The Yankees finished 82-80, fourth in the AL East, and had their lowest winning percentage (50.6%) since 1992 (46.9%).
This is the first time they have missed the MLB playoffs since 2016.
Nonetheless, New York is in the middle of a successful off
season, having signed star outfielder Juan Soto, veteran Alex Verdugo, and starting pitcher Marcus Stroman to a two-year contract.
The Yankees also welcome back first baseman Anthony Rizzo and left-hander Nestor Cortes, who both lost significant time due to injuries in 2023.
