Breaking News: Houston Texans confirm they aren’t renewing contract for Another Man

Texans aren’t renewing contract of DL coach Jacques Cesaire.

Defensive line coach Jacques Cesaire will not be returning to the Houston Texans for the upcoming season, as reported by Aaron Wilson of KPRC. Cesaire’s contract with the team has reached its expiration, and the Texans have decided not to extend it.

Reflecting on his time with the Texans, Cesaire expressed gratitude for the experiences and achievements during his tenure. Despite parting ways, he maintains a positive perspective, stating, “We did some great things over there. Got nothing but love for those guys. It’s all good.”

During Cesaire’s coaching stint, the Texans achieved notable success, recording a franchise-best 46 tackles in the 2023 season and securing a commendable sixth place in run defense. However, with Cesaire’s departure, the team is undergoing a transition in coaching staff.

There are indications that the Texans are considering an internal replacement for Cesaire in the form of Rod Wright, the former defensive ends coach at the University of Miami. A Houston native and current assistant defensive line coach, Wright emerges as a potential candidate to step into the role left vacant by Cesaire. As the Texans navigate these coaching changes, the team’s performance and defensive strategies will be closely watched in the upcoming season.
