WR Ladd McConkey, Georgia, is a draft prospect of the Raiders.
Ladd McConkey, a Georgia native and two-time college football national champion, would provide the Las Vegas Raiders with a youthful wide receiver who understands what it takes to win.
In the 2024 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders ought to be searching for individuals that have been a part of a winning culture in addition to pure talent.
Naturally, prospects from Georgia, the national winners in 2021 and 2022, have much of that to offer.
Looking at a player like former Georgia wide out Ladd McConkey could be in Las Vegas’ best interest if the Raiders have a second-round pick.
During the previous season, McConkey participated in nine games for the Bulldogs and finished with 478 receiving yards, one receiving touchdown, and one rushing touchdown.
With 14 of 15 games started, the prospect had his greatest season yet in 2022, finishing with 762 receiving yards, seven receiving touchdowns, 134 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns. In the Bulldogs’ victory over TCU in the National Championship game, he had two touchdowns and 88 receiving yards to help lead Georgia to an SEC title.
Coaches selected McConkey for the All-SEC Second Team that season.
In his rookie season the previous year, McConkey made appearances in all 15 games and earned five starts. In 2020, he had been redshirted. With 447 receiving yards, a rushing touchdown, and five receiving touchdowns—including one against Alabama in the SEC title game—McConkey concluded the 2021 campaign with impressive stats.
The Coaches All-SEC Freshman Team included him.
McConkey would rejoin with former Georgia teammates Zamir White and Christopher Smith II if Las Vegas selects him in this year’s draft. They were all three members of the 2021 national championship squad.
The NFL Scouting Combine will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, from February 27 to March 4, 2024.
