Mike Vrabel, a leading candidate for the Atlanta Falcons’ open head coaching post, may make an interesting option for offensive coordinator. Vrabel was the Tennessee Titans’ head coach from 2018 until the end of the season, and he guided the team to the AFC Conference Championship in 2020.
This run was so good that it led to the hiring of his offensive coordinator as head coach. Arthur Smith, Atlanta’s recently sacked head coach, is someone Falcons fans should be familiar with.
Reports have arisen stating that Vrabel would prefer to bring back Smith as his offensive coordinator on whichever team he might eventually sign with. On Wednesday, Vrabel interviewed in Atlanta to market himself as the appropriate candidate.
