Another prominent applicant is being interviewed by the Philadelphia Eagles to fill the role of offensive coordinator.
It’s time for the Philadelphia Eagles to find a new offensive coordinator. There was reportedly conflict between Brian Johnson and quarterback Jalen Hurts, which led to Johnson’s firing. Several prominent candidates for offensive coordinator have already been interviewed by the Eagles. Another one is sprouting now, quite swiftly.
Philadelphia Eagles: Kellen Moore is being interviewed
The Philadelphia Eagles intend to interview Kellen Moore for the offensive coordinator post, as reported by ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. He is the Los Angeles Chargers’ offensive coordinator at the moment. But Moore might be fired if Jim Harbaugh is brought in as the Chargers’ new head coach.
Kellen Moore’s credentials
Moore has spent the last five seasons in the NFL as an offensive coordinator. Before joining the Chargers coaching staff last year, he was the offensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys for four years. At barely 35 years old, Moore is among the league’s youngest coordinators.
Potential Rivalry
For this OC post, there is at least one more deserving applicant. According to earlier rumors, Kliff Kingsbury was interviewed by the Eagles as well for this role. He presently coaches the quarterbacks for the Trojans at USC. But Kingsbury spent four seasons as the Arizona Cardinals’ head coach before that.
