NEWS: Kansas City Chiefs Rule Out Three Times in a Row; Two Offensive Weapons May Not Play in the AFC Championship
On Wednesday afternoon, the Kansas City Chiefs opened practice week with a grim injury report. As of Friday afternoon, there doesn’t seem to be much more hope for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Perhaps Isiah Pacheco won’t play
The best injury update for the Chiefs this week came on Friday morning with the announcement that running back Isiah Pacheco (ankle/toe) has returned to practice. Nonetheless, Pacheco returned to practice in a limited capacity, per the Chiefs’ injury report released on Friday.
Pacheco, Wilkie Gay, Mike Edwards, and Kadarius Toney are all doubtful to play against the Ravens, according to the injury report.
Three players were ruled out by the Kansas City Chiefs.
For a few other important players, the Chiefs have worse news. Derrick Nnadi, a defensive tackle, is out with a triceps injury. This week, he practiced very little. Joe Thuney (pec), an offensive lineman, was declared out after missing the entire week of practice.
Skyy Moore, a wide receiver, will not participate in the AFC Championship Game since he was not reinstated from injured reserve by the deadline on Friday. Moore had a setback on Thursday during practice. This week, he practiced very little.
If the Chiefs win the Super Bowl, they might not have enough players.
This weekend’s game against the Ravens will require the Chiefs to overcome a number of serious ailments. Three guys who didn’t even practice this week raise serious concerns for the Super Bowl, even if they win.
