Good News: Just In Oklahoma Sooners confirm the signing of another star player

Compared to 2024, the Oklahoma Sooners are off to a far quicker start in the 2025 recruiting cycle. In actuality, OU obtained their initial commitment for the 2024 class in Jeremiah Newcombe before Kevin Sperry, who committed in March of 2023, committed to the 2025 class.

Eight more players have committed to the Sooners since Sperry’s announcement; according to 247Sports, they have the third-best recruiting class in the country. With nine prospects in the class, six of them are from Oklahoma, giving the class a distinct Oklahoman flavor. And there might be more to come. Nate Roberts, a gifted tight end star from within the state, is being pursued by the Sooners.

 

A number of the top prospects in the 2025 cycle, such as five-star offensive tackle Michael Fasusi and five-star defensive end Jonah Williams, are in the mix for the Sooners. According to 247Sports, Williams and Fasusi rank 14 and 15, respectively, among players.

Oklahoma will undoubtedly continue to rank in the top 10 in the nation because of their outstanding recruiting campaign under Brent Venables.
