Good News: Another Experienced Green Bay Packers Star Name At Pro Bowl

Big Defensive News Announced by the Green Bay Packers (Report)
There is a great deal of hope surrounding the Green Bay Packers going into the 2024 season. The only thing that came of Jordan Love’s first season under center was that the squad finished in the top eight spots in the league.

The front staff is aware that expectations will be much higher for the upcoming season. The role of defensive coordinator is vacant on the team, and the future coordinator will probably have little freedom. The fans of the Packers are eager for their defense to excel. The Packers have some outstanding players on defense, despite the fact that they appeared inconsistent in the previous campaign. Today, one of those studs received recognition.

The Green Bay Packers have revealed some very exciting news regarding their defensive star.

Packers of Green Bay DL The Pro Bowl Games have selected Kenny Clark, the league announced today. He takes over for San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Javon Hargrave, who isn’t able to play because of the Super Bowl.

After being an injured replacement in 2019 and an initial selection in 2021, Clark is making his third trip to the Pro Bowl. In 2018, he was also designated as an alternate. Clark and Henry Jordan (1960–1961, 1963, 1966) are the only defensive tackles from the Packers to have appeared in three or more Pro Bowls.

In 2023, Clark started all 17 games in the regular season and finished with a career-high 7.5 sacks (ranked third on the team), nine tackles for a loss (a team high), two forced fumbles, three passes defensed (tied career high in 2018), and 16 quarterback hits (ranked third on the team). In 2023, he ranked second on the team with 50 NextGenStat QB pressures.

For years, Clark has been a pillar of this defense.
Clark is making his third appearance in a Pro Bowl. Clark was an injured replacement in 2019 and an original selection in 2021. In 2018, he was also designated as an alternate.

He joins Henry Jordan as the only other defensive tackle from the Packers to have appeared in three or more Pro Bowls (1960–61, 1963, 1966).

UCLA product Clark was chosen with the No. 27 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. At the age of 28, he still appears to have enough of energy left to provide the Packers with many more years of outstanding play.
