Speaking of his significant AFC Championship, Travis Kelce
The 34-year-old tight end earned a spot in the 2024 Super Bowl with his Kansas City Chiefs teammates this past weekend when they defeated the Baltimore Ravens.
In an interview with big brother Jason Kelce on the Wednesday, January 31, episode of his New Heights podcast, Travis talked about his celebration of the win with girlfriend Taylor Swift and their family.
Initially, Travis said that the 34-year-old “Anti-Hero” singer was acquainted with Andy Reid, the Chiefs coach, prior to him.
“It’s evident that we’ve discussed how they kind of know each other from their time in Philadelphia,” added Travis, going on to mention his nickname for Taylor’s father, Scott Swift.
“Big Scott deserves a shout-out from Scott Swift. Andy and him are close buddies,” Travis continued.
In a recent interview with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald, Jim Gary, and Coach Reid on the SiriusXM podcast Let’s Go!, Coach Reid discussed his long-standing friendship with the Swift family.
“She was someone I knew back in Philadelphia. Coach Reid remarked, “Her dad [Scott Swift] was a big football fan and a good guy who played at [University of] Delaware.” “There, I had met her and him.”
Travis discussed the instance in which Coach Reid gave Taylor “a little love” by pointing to each other following the Chiefs’ victory over the Ravens on the most recent episode of his podcast.
Regarding the incident, Travis remarked, “Yeah, that was a cool one. I was up on the stage screaming ‘Fight for Your Right.'”
Later, when he and his teammates celebrated with Taylor and his “whole family” on the field, Travis remarked that winning the AFC Championship felt “a bit sweeter.”
Travis remarked, “This one meant a lot, man.” “The guys we had and our perseverance through many of the things we weren’t doing during the season made it mean a lot.” With those guys, everything just seemed that much better.
He went on, “We got a special group.” “This one feels so much better because of that.”
