Breaking News:Just In Texas Longhorns confirm the Departure Another Man

According to reports, Texas Director of Player Personnel Billy Glasscock is departing for Ole Miss, which means Steve Sarkisian will need to find a replacement for one of his key support staff members.

Billy Glasscock, the Texas Longhorns’ director of player personnel, is reportedly departing Austin after three years on the Forty Acres to take a job in Oxford as general manager for Ole Miss Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin. This was reported by a number of sources on Thursday.
As the de facto general manager of Sarkisian’s support team, Glasscock played a key role in directing the recruiting of high school and transfer portal prospects in tandem with the recruiting support staff.

Glasscock began his coaching career at the junior college level, having worked as an assistant coach for recruiting operations and assistant strength and conditioning at Northern Illinois for two years. He also attended Arizona Western and Joliet Junior College.

As Director of Recruiting Operations, Glasscock moved to Minnesota in 2011 after Jerry Kill left Northern Illinois. Glasscock was selected one of the five national Directors of Recruiting Operations of the Year by national recruiting analyst Tom Lemming.

After three years, Glasscock joined North Carolina State as the Director of Player Personnel, where he was in charge of all recruiting operations and managed the recruiting staff.

According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Glasscock assisted the Longhorns in signing the No. 4 recruiting class in 2024, the No. 3 class in 2023, the No. 5 recruiting class in 2022, and the No. 2 transfer portal class in average ranking.
