The biggest game of the season will pit the Kansas City Chiefs against the San Francisco 49ers.
They will face off in the Super Bowl for the second time in four years; the Chiefs prevailed the first time.
Before this rematch, the Niners are a far superior squad, and the oddsmakers have them as favorites.
This season, they have been favorites in every game, and they have, for the most part, played up to that reputation.
Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe, though, thinks it’s impossible to wager against Patrick Mahomes.
As much as the famous tight end would prefer the Niners to overcome their current slump, particularly with Christian McCaffrey and Kyle Shanahan, he cannot rule out Mahomes, he said in an interview with the Pat McAfee Show.
Sharpe remarked, “I really want the 49ers to win the Super Bowl, but how can I bet against Mahomeboy?”
The Niners have assembled a formidable squad.
Compared to the Chiefs, they should have the advantage in most situations because they have one of the best stacked units on both sides of the field.
However, Mahomes has a winning aura, and other teams have altered their entire style of play simply as a result of their seeming fear of him.
With so much on the line, it’s difficult to forecast anything with this kind of significance.
It’s difficult to blame Sharpe for being unsure of his prognosis given that nobody can predict with certainty what will happen when these two teams play on Sunday.
