To assist with the quarterbacks, the Saints have hired a new coach.
With the same record as the Tampa Bay Bucs at the end of the season, the New Orleans Saints were on the verge of missing out on a division title and a postseason trip; however, Tampa Bay prevailed in the tiebreaker. With a 9-8 record at the end of the season, the Saints are turning their attention to the 2024 campaign. In an effort to return to the postseason the following season, New Orleans is considering some personnel changes. They brought on Andrew Janocko on Friday to assist with quarterback coaching.
Andrew Jacocko played with the Minnesota Vikings from 2015 to 2021 before playing for the Chicago Bears for a few years. After working with Justin Fields and Kirk Cousins as coaches, he will now work with Derek Carr.

Having recently concluded his rookie campaign with the Saints, Derek Carr ended with 3,878 passing yards, 25 touchdown passes, and eight interceptions. Last season, Carr was an NFL quarterback that was in the middle of the pack. It will be fascinating to watch if this acquisition helps Carr advance. At thirty-two, he has been a member of the league for ten years.
This season, the NFC South was wide open because three teams had been in the running for a while. That might very likely be the case again the next year. We’ll see if Carr can lead the Saints to victory.
