Texas Rangers Confirm Another Important Addition To Squad Ahead Of Season Opening

Corey Seager of the Rangers updates injuries
In preparation for the commencement of the Texas Rangers’ 2024 spring training, Corey Seager talked about his injury situation.

In 2023, Corey Seager was named an MVP candidate and went on to help the Texas Rangers win the World Series. But there are doubts about the talented shortstop’s availability for Opening Day in 2024.

“The media just visited with Corey Seager, who has a sports hernia. He’s riding a stationary bike and walking at an inclination. Although Jeff Wilson of Rangers Today commented on X (formerly Twitter), “he hopes to be ready for Opening Day, but isn’t sure.”

According to reports, Seager sustained the injury during the postseason. He thought the injury would heal over the offseason, but it never did. In the end, he had surgery in late January.

With any luck, Corey Seager will be ready for Opening Day.
Seager appears to still be expected to start on Opening Day. Naturally, Texas is not in a hurry. To make sure that Seager plays through the start of the 2024 season, the Rangers are unwilling to jeopardize his long-term health.

Nevertheless, this most recent news is encouraging. It should be mentioned that Seager struggled with injuries last season, playing only 119 games while being second in the AL MVP voting.

When healthy, though, he had a fantastic season, slashing.327, 390, 623, and 1.013. In addition, Seager recorded 96 RBI, a league-high 42 doubles, and 33 home runs. That accomplishment is particularly noteworthy because Seager lost a substantial amount of time due to injuries.

Going into the new season, the Rangers are coping with a multitude of injury problems. Both Max Scherzer and Jacob deGrom are anticipated to miss the opening part of the ’24 season while they recuperate from surgery.

The Rangers have faith in this group of players. As long as everyone comes back and keeps up their good work throughout the year, Texas will be alright.
