ESPN News: Los Angeles Rams Confirm Another Star Who Will Leave As Free Agent After New Contarct Talks Was Dismissed

Report: Linebacker Rozeboom is not expected to be signed by the Rams
The Los Angeles Rams will probably add another linebacker to the pool of available players when NFL free agency rolls around. Inside linebacker Christian Rozeboom will become a free agent if the Rams decide not to tender him, according to Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic.

As the Rams’ second-best middle linebacker, Rozeboom has established himself as an essential member of their special team. In a market that already features some really great players at his position, like as Patrick Queen, Lavonte David, and Frankie Luvu, he will try the waters of free agency.

This past season, the 27-year-old played in the NFL for the third time, and it was his first year of regular playing time. In the team’s Week 6 game against Joshua Dobbs and the Arizona Cardinals, he recorded an interception in addition to finishing the season with a respectable 79 total tackles.

The Rams don’t really need Rozeboom because they have Byron Young and Ernest Jones as their key linebacker prospects. The Rams are aware that he has the skill to play a far bigger role on another team, therefore they’re unlikely to tender him in order to let him to do so. Jonah Williams, Tyler Johnson, Michael Hoecht, and Alaric Jackson are the other restricted free agents that the Rams have. The team has already declared that they will tender for free agents with exclusive rights, Ronnie Rivers and Austin Trammell.
