Breaking News: Auburn Tigers Top Target Announces Commitment Date With Auburn Football Team

Cuts list of schools to eight and announces date of commitment for Auburn QB target
A quarterback prospect for Auburn is about to commit.
Coach Freeze and his staff are concentrating on the 2025 class, and a quarterback is one of the most important positions to target.

The class mainstay, the quarterback, occasionally has the ability to spark momentum with an early commitment. Walker White joined the Auburn coaching staff as a recruit shortly after he committed to the school in the 2024 class.

Four-star quarterback Husan Longstreet is one of Coach Freeze’s main objectives. He would do well in Coach Freeze’s system since he is quick. Eight universities remain on Longstreet’s short list: Auburn, Texas A&M, Oregon, UCLA, Louisville, Miami, Ole Miss, and Michigan. He is rated as the 53rd best player in the 2025 class according to 247Sports. It seems that Steve Wiltfong, who is usually right, believes that Texas A&M will be able to sign the gifted quarterback. The quarterback from Corona, California, has not visited the Plains yet, but if the staff plans to bring him on campus before April 14th, they must do so quickly.

In his scouting report, Greg Biggins of 247Sports said the following about Longstreet: “Longstreet has one of the strongest arms out West and one of the quicker releases to go along with it.” He can throw from a variety of arm angles with ease, creates a great deal of velocity with minimal effort, and feels equally at ease rolling out and throwing left or right.

He can spin the football more consistently than anyone because of his large hands. Compared to his first two years of high school ball, he is a much better athlete who uses his legs more now as a junior. He also seems extremely at ease in zone read situations. He can need work on his touch on the deeper throws down the field, but he is accurate at the lower and intermediate levels of the field. He’s a terrific teammate, a born leader, and a very likeable young man. He projects as a Power 5 starter and have the skill to play for any school in the nation. He also has a good work ethic off the field.”

It appears that Coach Freeze and his team are falling behind in this race, but we need to see progress made quickly if they hope to catch up.
