Breaking News: Atlanta Falcons Top Target, Current Club Now Ready To Listen To An Offer For The Star From The Falcons

On the trade market, prospective Falcons targets surface.
With their ample draft capital, the Falcons can make a trade for a number of possible targets.

La’Jarius Sneed has reportedly drawn interest from Atlanta after being franchise-tagged. Additionally, a few additional names have surfaced in the trade market.

Moving Diontae Johnson is still a possibility for the Steelers, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic. She stated early on Saturday that a deal might make the pass catcher accessible.

With Pittsburgh across his five-year career, Jonhson has amassed 391 catches, 4,363 yards, and 25 touchdowns. Terry Fontenot would be wise to find out the possible asking price for a Falcons squad that lacks a more valuable receiver than Drake London.

Johnson, whose basic salary is scheduled to be $7 million in 2024, is about to reach the final year of his deal. He would probably need an extension in place if the Falcons were to sign him. There might be other fresh faces besides the wide receiver for the Steelers.

Ian Rapoport said earlier in the morning that the Eagles have received trade requests for Josh Sweat in addition to Haason Reddick.

After starting his career as a rotational player, the former fourth-round choice from the 2018 NFL Draft has developed into a dependable edge rusher, recording at least six sacks in four consecutive seasons. With 11 sacks during Philadelphia’s Super Bowl run, he had his greatest season.

In 2021, the former Pro Bowl player signed a three-year, $42 million contract. He is currently in the final year of his agreement. Spotrac reports that Sweat’s base pay will just be $1.125 million. Like Johnson, Sweat would probably receive an extension as a result of a trade.

Despite being older—he will age 30 the following season—Reddick is coming off four straight seasons with double-digitsack totals, including an All-Pro effort in 2022. Although Reddick’s basic pay is more than $14 million, he is also nearing the end of his contract, so an extension for the seasoned player is not completely out of the question.

Furthermore, they are not the only pass rushers. Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack were added to the trade block by Dianna Russini, who reported that the Chargers are accepting offers.

Bosa has missed nine games in 2018, four in 2020, and twenty in the last two seasons due to injury, but when he is on the field, the Ohio State product is an effective pass rusher.

He recorded double-digit sacks in all of the seasons in which he played in double-digit games. All that has to be determined is whether or not he would play for the Falcons. He has a two-season contract that will pay him $15 million in 2024 and $17 million in 2025 as base salary.

Mack just finished his tenth season of play, and it was his greatest. 17 sacks, 74 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 22 quarterback hits, five forced fumbles, and ten passes defensed were among his 2023 stats. Despite his age of thirty-three, the Falcons might fare much worse, and Atlanta would only be inheriting a $17.55 million basic salary on a one-year contract.

Any of these possible trade targets would make the Falcons a far better team.
