Done Deal: Just In Raiders Confirm The Signing Of Another Top NFL Star

In 2024, the Raiders have decided to sign Gardner Minshew as a quarterback competitor.

According to NFL Media, the Las Vegas Raiders and veteran free agency quarterback Gardner Minshew have reached an agreement on a two-year contract.
According to NFL Media, Minshew will receive $25 million in total compensation for the term of the deal, of which $15 million is fully guaranteed.

The Raiders made a big splash on the same day that they signed defensive tackle Christian Wilkins of the Miami Dolphins and watched star running back Josh Jacobs sign a contract with the Green Bay Packers. The Minshew addition is an unexpected move, as the Raiders might have found their quarterback situation overnight.

NFL Media notes. Aidan O’Connell, a 2022 fourth-round pick, and Minshew were signed to compete in training camp. The Raiders expected to improve from O’Connell going into the offseason.

Although it could be challenging, the Raiders have also indicated interest in possibly making a trade for a top quarterback prospect. They may yet make an early QB trade. However, as of right now, it appears that Minshew, a journeyman, has a good chance of starting for the Raiders in 2024.
