Ravens’ Lamar Jackson Send Strong Three Words Message To Patrick Queen And Stone

Lamar Jackson of the Ravens Reacts Funnily to Patrick Queen When Lamar Jackson and Patrick Queen joined the Steelers, they demonstrated to Tiki Barber and Saquon Barkley the proper way to respond to a free-agency move. Jackson’s response to the news that interior linebacker Queen will sign a three-year contract to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers instead of the Baltimore Ravens was amusing.

The main rivals of Baltimore, the Baltimore Ravens, are the AFC North, and on Tuesday, March 12, former defensive end Marcus Spears (via ESPN’s Adam Schefter) broke the news that the news queen had signed to a $41 million contract with them.

Jackson posted on X in response to the news: “@Patrickqueen_ To us, Queen, you are dead. To me, you’re dead, good luck.

This might have been Jackson’s playful take on a feud between Barkley and Barber, two former running backs with the New York Giants. It all started on Monday, March 11, when Barkley departed Big Blue to join the Philadelphia Eagles, rivals in the NFC East.

Giants’ all-time top rusher Barber responded to the play by saying, “You’re dead to us, Saquon.” “I wish you luck, because I’m done with you,” the speaker said on WFAN Sports Radio.

Barkley objected, even if it seemed like Barber’s comments weren’t that serious. What transpired was a short and acrimonious exchange between the two on their individual legacies.

The Ravens don’t have to be concerned about any verbal altercations between Jackson and Queen. Based on his response on X, Queen took his now-former quarterback’s joke in the intended spirit.

It did not hurt that Jackson had already, in a similarly cheeky manner, shipped off another member of the Ravens defense to a divisional foe.

Lamar Jackson Appreciates Saying Farewell
Jackson is having fun bidding farewell, despite the fact that it means watching teammates sign with AFC North rivals. So far in free agency, that has become accustomed after Queen became the second defensive player to sign with the team.

On Monday, safety Geno Stone took a step. The player who led the Ravens in interceptions the previous season, seven, inked a $15 million, two-year contract with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Jackson was able to respond with what has now become his trademark fury: “@GenoStone22 You’re not only dead to me, but also dead to us!

Aside from jokes, Jackson will be aware that the Ravens lost two excellent players. Thankfully, running back Derrick Henry has become a fresh playmaker for the standout quarterback.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the two-time NFL rushing champion agreed to a two-year, $16 million contract worth up to $20 million on Tuesday. Henry is a great consolation prize for Jackson and the offense in Baltimore following running back Gus Edwards’ agreement to sign a deal with the Chargers.

The Ravens are well-equipped to handle Queen and Stone’s absence, even though they haven’t replenished their defense in the same manner.

Ravens Can Recover from Patrick Queen Exit: Trenton Simpson, a second-year pro, is the Ravens’ ready-made replacement for Queen, who was adaptable and productive. The latter has breakaway potential and received recognition from Queen late in the previous season.

Although Stone was a surprise star in 2023 thanks to his ball-hawking abilities, the Ravens are already well-stocked at the position. They have Marcus Williams, an experienced free safety, and Kyle Hamilton, a one-man wrecking crew in the box.

Seeing their productive defenders play for rival teams will hurt the Ravens. especially after Queen discovered that the Steelers, a team that has a rich history of fielding outstanding linebackers, were a suitable fit for her.

But in the end, Jackson and the Ravens have enough talent on both sides of the ball to bounce back from these setbacks and remain competitive.
