Tyler Huntley, a former backup for the Baltimore Ravens and Utah star, signs with the Cleveland Browns.
Former Utah star quarterback Tyler Huntley has signed with the Cleveland Browns following a four-year contract with the division foe Baltimore Ravens.
One of the NFL’s most spectacular backup quarterbacks for four seasons, Huntley amassed 1,957 passing yards, eight touchdowns, seven interceptions, and five touchdowns on the ground in 20 games. In 2022, he even received a Pro Bowl nomination.
Deshaun Watson, Jameis Winston, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, and the former Ute are all in the same room as the Browns quarterback, which could make for intense competition during training camp. With the team’s championship window still open, Browns general manager Andrew Berry is giving the quarterback position top priority going into the 2024 campaign, following Watson’s season-ending injury and the QB carousel that ensued.
Prior to the season, “Snoop” ought to have a decent chance of making the 53-man roster and might challenge Winston for the number-two slot at quarterback on what is probably (on paper) the best team in the best division in football.
