Breaking News: Tennessee Volunteers Confirm As Top landing Spot For Top SEC TE

First visit, offer placed Vols among the early entrants for the rapidly emerging TE
On Monday, an Illinois tight end in the class of 2026 made his first trip to Tennessee and accepted an offer from the Vols while he was on campus.

JC Anderson arrived in Knoxville on Monday, having never seen the University of Tennessee campus previously. However, he had heard enough positive things about the program to know that he would probably be thrilled with the Vols after all.

The Mt. Zion (Illinois) High School class of 2026 tight end claimed that his trip to Tennessee on Monday for the team’s first spring practice was “one of the better experiences I’ve had.” While he was there, he accepted a scholarship offer from the Vols, and he indicated that they are now “up there” in his thoughts among the rapidly expanding number of prominent programs that are interested in him.

In the last two months, the 230-pound, 6-foot-6 Anderson has received 14 of his 15 offers. He received his most recent offer from Ole Miss on Wednesday, and he expressed his happiness to add an offer from Tennessee when he visited on Monday.
