Done Deal: Houston Texans Confirm To Reach Agreement With Another Top Experienced Star

Texas Re-Signs WR Formerly with the Steelers
Pittsburgh According to an Aaron Wilson of KPRC2 in Houston report, the Houston Texans re-signed wide receiver Steven Sims for the 2024 campaign after being impressed with his first year of service with the team. Sims was once a wide receiver with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Sims, who joined the Texans as a free agent, had three receptions for 25 yards, four punt returns for 49 yards, and three kickoff returns for 71 yards. It was the first punt return for a score in the postseason since 2013 when he took a 67-yard return back for a touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.

Over the course of two seasons, Sims played in 13 games for the Steelers, rushing for 70 additional yards and catching 14 catches for 104 yards. During the 2022 season, he contributed 434 yards on 17 kickoff returns for Pittsburgh. The deal’s financial details have not yet been made public.
