Safety Mike Edwards is signed by the Buffalo Bills for a single year.
WKBW — ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. In an effort to strengthen their secondary, the Buffalo Bills have signed former Chiefs safety Mike Edwards to a one-year contract.
Edwards has been in the league for five years and has won two Super Bowls. With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV and the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII, he won two Super Bowls.
He has participated in 75 games throughout those five seasons, recording 235 tackles, eight interceptions, five fumble recoveries, and three sacks.
The product of Cincinnati stated that he is excited to join the Bills, where players like Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer have raised the bar.
Edwards remarked, “Those guys set the standard.”
After Jordan Poyer, who has since signed with the Miami Dolphins, was released by the Bills, Edwards steps in to cover a need at safety.
