In 2023, the 31-year-old pass rusher took a risk by choosing to join the poorest team in the league instead of a playoff team. With the Ravens or Jets, the All-Pro and former first overall pick would have had a greater chance of making the playoffs.
2023 saw Clowney record 9.5 sacks, which is a career high. Over his NFL career, he has 52.5 sacks.
